I stared one last time to the houses opposite that were highlighted orange by the glow of the street lamps before I drew the curtains. I turned with a sigh, my hands still gripping the curtains and gazed to my bed. I had waited hours to return to my bed, and now I could feel it drawing me closer and closer.
